Before I was convinced it was going be okay, but after the posts last night, especially Seamus’ “last scene in the 12th precinct” I’m not so sure anymore….

Unless it’s a play on words kinda thing. It says last scene in the precinct not last scene ever. So maybe something’s happening to the precinct in the show.

At the time of this posting this project is still being worked on.

The purpose of this project is to create a new promo for an audio podcast I listen too.

The first thing I had to determine was what exactly I wanted to create. After various ideas I hit on the idea of having the promo be the main characters of the show the podcast is about interrogate the hosts of the podcast, as the show is a police procedural.

So I set about creating the script, which took a while as I figured out what I wanted everyone to say. Eventually I finished:

[Script Start]

BeckettL "Detective Kate Beckett, NYPD."

Castle: "Richard Castle, just NY."

{Possible transition asking for ID}

Heidi: "I'm Heidi."

John: "and I'm John."

(Beckett asks where John and Heidi were, either a couple days ago or a specific day like the day they record)

John/Heidi: Recording CastleCast."

Castle: (One of Castle's crazy theories)

John/Heidi: "A podcast for ABC's Castle."

(A transition of Beckett asking for details)

John/Heidi: (John and Heidi mention each segment and give a few details about them)

Becket: "That's all for now."

Castle: "Don't leave town."

Getting the lines from the host, John and Heidi, was easy as all I needed to do was ask them to record their lines and send them to me. As I waited I began searching for the sound bits I needed form the shows characters.
