I remember when Son of Neptune came out and I was? so excited that Alaska (where I live) was there, but then very disappointed and upset with the description of Anchorage - easily the biggest city in Alaska, and only the old town parts of it are “run down”. I’d say it’s probably a small, maybe medium sized at most, city. Second- Alaska doesn’t have pine trees. They’re spruce. There’s a difference, it matters, and a lot of people will correct you or point out that they’re not pine - even I, when I call them pine, immediately go “well, actually they’re not pine they’re spruce, but whatever” and continue on. Also, there was like, no personality to Alaska in the entire time Percy, Hazel (I’ll let her slide since she lived there decades ago, but, like...eh), and Frank.
