The Quijote Walk

To one side of the Calzada Del Rey there is a space dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the famous author of Don Quixote of La Mancha, the bronze figures of Sancho Panza and Don Quixote have the faces of the muralist Diego Rivera and the painter Salvador Dali. In the square you will also find a fountain with 4 concrete benches with sculpted tiles in them that narrate passages of the masterpiece of the Spanish author, the place is perfect both for those who like a good reading and for those who enjoy contemplating the landscapes.

Glorieta Museum of the Fight of the Mexican People for its Freedom

Also known as the Caracol Museum due to its spiral shape similar to that of a sea snail, it is a historical gallery of models, paintings, maps, documents and photographs that narrate the Mexican past. These didactic elements make this museum unique in its kind, with 12 rooms that are divided into thematic rooms that represent the different periods of Mexican history. Chapultepec Castle

It is the most valuable architectural monument in Mexico and the place where many of the decisive events of its history occurred, that is why it is the most visited attraction in Chapultepec and not only for its historical relevance, but also for its exhibits and beautiful views. The castle is home to the National Museum of History, with pieces by Emperor Maximilian and his wife Carlota, also by the presidents Porfirio Diaz, Francisco Madero and Álvaro Obregon. It has a wide collection of documents, photographs, paintings and objects that show visitors the episodes of Mexican history before colonization.

The Sergeant

The Sergeant is not a work nor a monument, it is an ahuehuete tree and it is believed that the so-called Big Tree is the origin of this spectacular forest. According to the legend, it was planted by Nezahualcóyotl, king of the city of Texcoco in ancient Mexico, which is why some say it is sacred. It is also known that his name is due to a group of soldiers who lived in Chapultepec Castle when it was a military academy. The Sergeant is a tourist attraction because the tree is the oldest in the natural park, with a circumference of more than 12 meters and a height that reaches 40 meters.
