Time flies so fast. I broke my foot in June of last year and here we are, coming up on May in a couple days. This was taken at the end of July, right before it was removed after 6 weeks. It was 113 degrees outside when that photo was taken here in the SFV.
This is a common thing that happens to white casts once they've been on your leg for awhile. They get yellow-gray. I remember for this particular cast, they were in a hurry and I didn't even get a chance to ask for a colored cast. But it worked out well, vintage white fiber is always good. HAPPY FRIDAY! This is from March 2022 when I tore my Achilles.

When in doubt, go to the mall on a hot day if you're on crutches. It will get you out of your hot house, give you some exercise, and keep your blood flowing.
Best Man with a broken...something! If it were me, I'd have done no sock, let the attendees at the wedding realize that putting a sock on was not practical because your toes start to roast. I LOVE this photo though!
In these challenging times, especially over the holiday season, it is important to spend time with your loved ones! Right around the time that Covid began, someone - a stranger with a heart of gold - spraypainted this on a sidewalk that I was hobbling along. I had never seen anything like it. Usually on sidewalks you can find graffiti, maybe some chalk drawings, maybe embedded stars of famous people. But there must have been a reason why this person used stenciling and took the time and care and love to do it. They must have known that it needed to be read by some certain people.
