The bios are out, and it’s great. (Though the lack of Peter and Scott bios is weird, seeing how Heather Conkie actually talks a good chunk about what Peter’s doing this season, raving about Gabe Hogan’s performance and so forth, but said absolutely nothing about Lisa in an interview with TV, eh? I know, I said I was done talking about lack of mentions of Lisa anywhere. So I’m done talking about it. Really. This time, for sure.) —So far, we have rumblings about some “shocking news about a loved one”, a phrase echoed in Amy, Lou, Jack, and Tim’s bios. Specifically, Amy’s says:  “And when shocking news about a loved one shakes the very foundations of the Bartlett- Flemings, Amy has to find a way to keep going even when it seems impossible.”   Lou’s says: “unexpected news threatens the Bartlett-Fleming family, Lou fights to keep her cool throughout this uncertain time.“ Jack’s says: “when unexpected news rocks the family, Jack struggles to support them through a very uncertain time.”

And Tim’s says: “...as things begin to look darker than ever, Tim has to force himself to leave his comfort zone in order to find some much needed light.”

A “loved one” could be any one of the characters, but since the turmoil of that “loved one” is seemingly alluded to in these four characters’ bios only, I think it’s got to be either Tim who’s facing some “shocking news”, or maybe even Casey in some kind of serious difficulty (Heartland using their classic redirect tactic—like when Jack was being affected by a “health crisis” in Season 9, but it was actually Lisa’s “health crisis”). On a somewhat positive note, it seems the bio writers have taken notice of fans’ perpetual grumblings about Lisa’s whereabouts (or lack of acknowledgment of her whereabouts). They’ve stated right up-front where she’ll be: “going back and forth from Heartland to Fairfield, and part of it negotiating deals overseas in France.” Great! We already guessed that was what she’s been doing all these past seasons anyway, but thanks for confirming it. Fanon interpretations and suppositions are finally codified and canonized. Yay, writers.
