i think WAY too easily people excuse writing smut about ponyboy. hes fourteen in canon and aging him up doesnt really? help your case. hes. a kid. 100% of the time hes in any canon setting (the outsiders and twttin). this is the case for a lot fo the greasers (like for examples johnny or curly) and i think it just shouldnt be a problem at all cause if you have a hard time not writing anything sexual about a FOURTEEN year old kid then we got bigger fish to fry
