The quest for the second date
Chris would neither confirm nor deny that he had been singing along at top volume to Queenâs song Lover Boy as he was getting ready for his date tonight.Â
Or that he had wondered for a moment as he looked in the mirror if Collins would like the outfit he had picked. He had been dying to try out the shirt Marian had gifted him a while back, the fitted black with red roses button up paired with the black slacks. And of course the new Gryffindor shoes that Collins had sent to him.Â
He would also neither confirm nor deny that he had been a slight giddy mess all day while getting Kim ready for her sleepover, and while he had dropped her off at her friendâs house and spoked to the parent.Â
He would confirm though that he was still humming the tune as he entered Brendles as the time neared. How could he not be excited for this though!? He was going to spend time with Collins, getting treated with Monty Python, most likely some food, and if things went the same way as last time a great ending to a great date. At least that was what Chris could confidently guess. He had been the one to plan their first date. It wasnât any surprise that he had been wondering what Collins had planned for their second one.Â
Going through the lobby and up in the elevator Chris had gone from humming Lover Boy to whistling. While riding it up the thought of whether or not Collins took many of his friends on outings like this. Then again it seemed like his closest friends were gods in his own pantheon and that would make a bit of an awkward date.Â
Admittedly, he himself was becoming a bit unsure of what exactly what he would classify what was going on between them. He had once assured Cass at the grocery store that he was sure Collins was only after him for some fun in the sheets, the thought that once he was bored with Chris heâd move on.Â
Now though....Â
When Chris heard the chime and the doors opened to his floor he continued whistling and put the thought out of his head as he made his way down the hall and to Collinsâ office. Once arrived he gave a couple quick knocks before poking his head in.Â
âHello? Here for a Mr. Hughs.â he called out with a grin before entering the small waiting room.Â
