In my recent dalliance and communication with the opposite sex, there's been a certain trait that is common amongst the males who are really toddlers in an adult man's body. This trait, while highly annoying and can turn the most assumed charming man into the biggest fuckboy is the one which irks me the most. It's the utterance of the following phrase anytime a taken female (friend, associate, workmate, whatever) asks her male friend, associate, workmate, whatever, for a favour..."Wey yuh man?" Dear men....what the fuck does my boyfriend have to do with you doing something for me? Doesn't this refute all the hard work that y'all put in to the "not all men" mantra when women say that men are incapable of platonic friendship or of doing anything for you without expecting sex in return?

I have a friend and when I was still a single gal, he would do so many nice things for me, claiming that he's onky interested in my best interests etc etc. I now laugh at my own naivete because two days ago, I wasn't well and I asked him to bring me soup but got the following answer "wey yuh man? Daz he wuk"

REALLY? For those of you at this time who want to get all high and mighty and say "well..you do got a man"...I say to you..."AND?????????!" So because I'm in a relationship it means that I automatically can't depend on my male friends? Miss me with my man is supposed to be my only friend bullshit, and it's not just me experiencing this. So many other women are telling me they get similar responses for every single thing that they ask or in every conversation.

Why y'all gots my man's name in ya mouths? Do you like him? Do you want him? What does he have to do with you being a good friend and bringing me soup? The most off thing about this whole situation is that I honestly thought he was a ride or die friend. My bad.
