Ok, so I’m skipping around a bit before I finish my How To Train Your Dragon post.

Anyway.

Regarding the Croods.

They had a good survival plan.

Buuttt…. They also should’ve died.

First off, they are a good family unit that works together well, and they have good physical abilities.

That’s how they should’ve survived. They relied on their instincts and their sense of fear, and that’s good.

Now, regarding the “should’ve died” thing.

Three reasons.

They stay in the cave for days to weeks at a time. I haven’t done too much research on cavemen, but I think even then that lack of sunlight would not spell good things for them.

This is mainly for the dad, but seeing what he gets from their breakfast at the beginning of the movie makes you wonder how he survives and keeps his good physical strength. That might not be how he always eats, but that’s the only time we really see that.

They live in a desert. This is a big problem if you think about the fact that the only way they’re getting water is probably from that egg they ate. Now, humans have lived in deserts before, but they usually had a ready source of water they could draw from (ie. a river.), but we don’t really see this in the Croods. (But there might be one and we just don’t see it)

Anyway, that’s my rambling on that movie.

Idk why I enjoy taking apart kids’ movies like this.
