Perhaps following in her room mate's footsteps, Minami Tomoko-san took the life of Kakemono Otoko-san. She planned it out. Lured him out there, taking advantage of his rather empty head and full heart and used the stairs to break his neck. Minami Tomoko-san gave her reasons... apparently to save us from our secrets being unveiled, to be remembered as strong and... because she's mad. She choose to kill him because she knew she would be forgiven? A cowardly reason at best... still, there is rarely a good reason for murder. It barely bears thinking about.

In all honesty she was one of my initial suspects. Her profile is that of a lot of killers - a sweet look to hide a ruthless edge. I imagine a lot of celebrities have that in them. Hitoya Hotaru-san was my other suspect but that cleared quickly. Hopefully she doesn't take my accusation personally. Much as I would've liked to have called this a clean cut and dry case however... it was not. Mostly thanks to the handiwork of Mikata Setsuna-san...

First on the scene apparently. They tampered with evidence and withheld information. To say I'm disappointed in them is an understatement and I fully intend to speak with them in more detail later. This cannot be allowed to happen again. None of us were fooled into thinking it was Tsuji Arashi-san as planned but... that doesn't change a thing. It was wrong, immoral, pointless and only served to draw things out and complicate what could've been a very simple case. Hanae Eisuke-san was again quite helpful. Tachibana Kiyomitsu-san on the other hand... was difficult the entire time. She seems to be ignoring me. If she wants to be petulant, let her be. It's no skin off my nose, in all honesty.

With this, the secrets have stopped. I had little to reveal so it's of no real consequence to me but... I suppose it is good for the others.

So far the pattern still corresponds to the original incident. Does this mean the next motive will tap into our greed or is the third time, perhaps, a charm and we're in store for something else? With these recent deaths... more of the archive will undoubtedly by revealed to us. Perhaps I can find something of use.

I've been for probably about three days now but I can't rest yet. There's still too much to do.

Monobear isn't letting up.

His next motive involves an invasion of privacy and so far most of us have had secrets revealed. In fact, only a handful of us haven't - Mitsuki Tsunami-san and Yasu-san to name a couple. Not that I wish their dark secrets to be revealed. More just a note. It pays to be observant after all.

As for me... 'that' came up.

The other students haven't talked much of it. I'm unsure whether that's because it's irrelevant to them, a macabre subject or simply if they'd become wary of me due to my father's actions. People do often share things in common with their parents after all... I am not my father though. I never will be. I told Tsuji Arashi-san about what happened. I'm not quite sure why I did. I guess it simply seemed like the right thing to do at the time. He understood though, it seems. We're... allies. We shall do the right thing. I'm hopeful this works to my benefit. I'm not used to putting faith in others.

There have been... complications. Again.

Yes, Hanae Eisuke-san decided to lose himself again. I wasn't there for the conflict start but the summary appears to be Minami Tomoko-san opened her mouth and spouted negativity once more (as referenced by an earlier situation with her and Hitoya Hotaru-san) and Hanae Eisuke-san, in his infinite wisdom, went on a punching spree again. This would explain the bruise on my face and cut mouth. Worse than last time, actually. It was a hook I wasn't expecting. Tch. I believe others wounded this time were Hamasaki Nanave-san, Shinohara Akihiko-san and Minami Tomoko-san herself.

On that note... Hamasaki Nanave-san, he's... interesting. A little quiet but I don't dislike his presence. Perhaps he may be useful in keeping the peace about here.

That isn't the only complication, however. Tachibana Kiyomitsu-san - or -Tachibana Koyomi-san as is her real name... she's continuing to be problematic in all honesty. She wants to outlive everyone - she desires 'victory'... I'm quite sure she'll do anything she can to achieve that. I fully intend to stand in her way at every point should she try anything that jeopardizes our safety. She knows that well at this point.

This is somewhat of a side note but I don't quite know what to make of Narita Akira-kaichou. I believe she's having a hard time and I... probably can't help. I told her myself I'm not that nice - I'm hardly a comforter. Even when Minami Tomoko-san was in tears over her lack of friends I regarded her coldly - and factually. That's just how it is. Hopefully she will be fine, however. I am glad she took my advice and stuck away from the fight though. I recently made her cry... that was... an experience. I'm not good with that either. She claims they were good tears however and told me she trusted me. She and Shinohara Akihiko-san both have a lot of faith in me... hm... I won't let them down, then. I can't.

Nothing has happened yet but it may yet soon. I will keep vigilant and do what I can to prevent further casualties.

I have been punched in the face.

I'm not new to this but it still hurts especially given that puncher in question is both rather tall and rather built.

Apparently I am not the first in this particular chain of assaults, either. I believe Abe-san and Tsuji-san (my thanks go to Mikami Minoru for their names) were also victims. As well as... Tsukiyomi Himiko-san, of course.

As previously predicted, one person of interest did indeed cause a disturbance. Hanae Eisuke-san went on a rampage and resulted to childish assault. The type A is the alpha, the ego. They think themselves above conventional rules and courtesy. This is both what makes them dangerous and what makes them strong. What is probably the most worrisome aspect of this, however, is the aftermath, and this party. I should mention that this... celebration is the fault of Tsukiyomi Himiko-san who is... a troublesome person on a whole different level. She, it may go without saying, is the one responsible for triggering Hanae Eisuke-san's rage and was beaten for it. Oddly she? Doesn't seem to mind? Her mind is impossible to fathom. Actually I haven't confirmed that she even has such a thing. Hanae Eisuke-san's ... frenzy has also changed the playing field slightly. Vengeance or paranoia can now be added motives. Paranoia is always in play as a motive given situations of panic like this but... now that violence has been demonstrated this has become more of a reality. Perhaps without realizing, Hanae Eisuke-san has shot to the top of the potential casualty list alongside the obvious Tsukiyomi Himiko-san. This makes him both a danger and in danger. It is imperative I keep watch.

Tsukiyomi Himiko-san's party has become a reality and this... is... not ideal. It's both somewhat harder and somewhat easier to keep track of everyone. It is inevitable emotions will flare out of control making outbursts and more future potential assaults almost a pre-requisite. I must keep my eye on everyone. If I can profile the potential killer before they act I may be able to prevent damage.

It seems probable that Yasu-san, Tsukiyomi Himiko-san, Hanae Eisuke-san and Abe-san may be heavily involved in any potential encounters and scuffles during the party. I still have my eye on Tachibana Kiyomitsu-san and Mikata Setsuna-san, however. No one can be trusted, everyone is a suspect here.

With a motive like this, anyone can kill.

Going to the check-out counter as requested revealed that our culprit is parroting an old case - that case. Meaning we are dealing with a copycat killer - this may imply the culprit has obsessive tendencies and believes they share something in common with the late Enoshima Junko. Copycat killers frequently reach out to their idols because of certain mental disorders or other shared idiosyncrasies. She was known for deceiving many. If I'm going to find the culprit, I'll need to be thorough. They may be hiding in plain sight.

Everyone is a suspect.

So far I've met and spoken with eight potential suspects. In the order I saw them:

First impressions are mixed.

Mikata Setsuna is definitely a person of interest. Someone who chooses to reveal so little is hiding something at the very least and given Mikata Setsuna's perceived intellect I would say that something in particular is of some importance.

Hitoya Hotaru is a text-book fake. Signs point to having an ego and attempts at amassing friends or followers to keep her safe. Tachibana Kiyomitsu appears to be one. They definitely have a bond. Tachibana Kiyomitsu herself is an on read. I would wager she hides her wit behind nonsensical proverbs and quirky nicknames. They are to be scrutinized further for potential motives and capabilities.

Yasu is a classic A-type. She threatens the environment with her destructive personality and must be watched closely. The type to kill someone in the heat of the moment. A problem.

Tsukiyomi Himiko on the other hand is a different sort of problem altogether. She appears to have a magnetic connection to trouble. Gassed on the first day. The gas was... red in colouration. Curious. It appeared to only knock her out for a few seconds but there may be after-effects. Reminder: keep an eye on her. If Tsukiyomi Himiko exhibits any strange tendencies or nausea it may be due to the exposure to the mysterious substance. I could forego all of this if I confirmed the gas was merely a knock-out but without the substance on hand I can't confirm nor deny anything therefore all possibilities should be left to be considered.

The remaining number have not made as much of an impression on me. Narita Akira, however, appears to have a good head on her shoulders although she lied about her coffee being too hot at one point during our conversation after I had noticed her face's unnatural colouring... perhaps this is a sign she is not a good liar. I shall keep it in mind. She appears stressed, however, which could be a reason for her mental state. As for Hanae Eisuke and the stranger... Hanae Eisuke has an impressive build that could cause accidents should he lose his temper. His temperament seems casual, currently, not too out of control in any case. The smaller five-foot bespectacled unknown, however, I have no opinion on. Mocking tone aside I came away with little on their nature. All three of these people should be researched more.

Narita Akira told me I may be a target due to my talent. Perhaps that is a good thing. If I can shake a bush and intimidate the mastermind I may be able to solve this faster. I need to find more of the students and question them soon.

The archive itself is not a bad place. A musty smell, old wood and a classic sort of architecture. I wonder why this location in particular was chosen. I have yet to fully explore. I imagine all exits to the outer perimeter have been blocked off but there may yet be something of interest. The dorm seems spacious but the idea of dorm mates is a poor one no doubt plotted to help increase tensions. I don't intend to stick around in my room often so I intend to have no drama. I cannot say the same for the others, however, particularly the more aggressive or egotistic of students.

If the copycat is truly imitating the original than I imagine we can expect a motive soon. The motive will change people's dispositions. I will have to keep track of the changes before and when they happen.

That's my overview for now.

I currently need more intel to make a better assessment of our predicament.
