hi! is cascade close to any major cities?
Sort of! California is so soso big, we mostly based Cascade locationally off Eureka, California. So maps say it's 4 hours from San Francisco and 7 hours from Portland, Oregon. Cascade in our minds is that other bigger city between the two. If that makes sense!

Let's see . . . I would love to see dancers at Sirens, Farmers on the outskirts, maybe your character owns a Cannabis farm. Owners of the Onyx Vines Vineyard (must be black) or those that work on the vineyard or in the wine shop downtown. Country Club people! Someone coming in to expand the real estate in town. Maybe a rival to one of our current locations/owners for a little IC drama. Cherry employees! Radio folks! Unemployed nepo baby! Artists by heart that work a couple jobs to get by, Michelin star chef with a tude at Pas Normal maybe! Monster Mart employee who has seen some seen some things! Maybe someone who man's Holy Sheet and given the current wave of crime in the area things don't go so peacefully. Jazz singers at the speakeasy that do tarot on the side, professors at the university! And for a some more ideas, here and here! Apologies for the doubles/triples.
