Writing down my current CAS clothes sorting scheme so that I don’t forget it over time.
I’m currently trying to sort the folder by meshes.
Each mesh (and its age conversions) has its own folder, and all recolours-- no matter who created them-- live in the folder with that mesh. This cuts down on duplicate meshes (looking at you, Fanseelamb pyjama tee).
Every set of recolours gets bundled. I’m keeping the bundles separate for easy “yeet this set if I start to hate it” purposes, and also for “SimPE Memory Crash” purposes.
EP/SP/BSOK pins:
Simple, everyday clothing doesn’t get pinned to an EP/SP. Stuff like CatOfEvilGenius’s French Farmer separates or @deedee-sims‘ flats with leggings get to live at the front of the catalogue, so I can grab them early and often.
Gothic clothing gets pinned to the “goth” category from @blueheavensims‘ update of the BSOK.
J-Fashion/Lolita/street style stuff gets pinned to Bon Voyage, as do Hawaiian shirts and other ‘tourist’-y clothing.
Clothing I can’t see anyone over 40 wearing in cold blood (that doesn’t fit into one of the aforementioned categories) gets pinned to Uni.
Fancy formalwear and clubwear gets pinned to NL.
Fancy/Lingere-type underwear gets pinned to K&B.
Any Bodyshape stuff, regardless of what it is, gets pinned to its appropriate BSOK slot.
CAS Categorization:
All custom t-shirts get tagged as PJs and exercise wear as well as everyday. Custom shirts that are short enough get tagged as swimwear, too.
