You guys know what is really cool? The passive delivery of information. It is so cool to examine that sort of thing. Like the most uninteresting example is time. But it’s so cool. Pretty much no matter where you are in your life there are several ways that you can figure out the time with minimal effort. That information is being passively broadcast to you so that whenever you need it, it’s there. I feel like this is an under-explored phenomena and I would love to have more of it in my life.
For example, one of the other types of information that is often transmitted in this manner is weather. That’s actually what spawned this post. I was in my living room shutting down, getting ready for bed and I was curious how cold it was outside. I then just looked at the TV and immediately knew it was 56 degrees and a little cloudy. I could have gotten the same information from my watch or from my phone. It was already there for me to use, I just had to act upon my desire to do so.
TL;DR I really want more cool information to always be broadcasting to me.
