this is a request for the notorious lee-forester family-- joss forester, giselle lee, and their children (carson forester's immediate family). the lee-foresters are well-known in the entertainment industry and theyāve each carved out a corner of their respective fields. why are they all in maine? itās up to you whether theyāre here for work/play/love/temporarily/permanently. just please give me the fam! short bios are under the cut. names and certain portions of bios are open to change and i have face suggestions for each!

things to know about the family:
the kids' legal surname is the hyphenated ālee-foresterā, but gi and joss mutually agreed to have them go by forester when the two were married.
joss has always led a pretty absent life where being a parent was concerned, so he was known to pop in and out of the children's lives over the years. each child has their own complex relationship with joss and it's up to the player whether or not they've decided to work on this relationship!
the forester children all fluently speak italian and romanian. they were raised by a romanian-american mother and while joss was scarcely around, his extended family was, so the kids were able to learn much about their italian heritage as well. gi and the children even moved their nonna into their queens home and they lived with her before she passed.
the kids are from new york. carson has an accent and quite the profane vocabulary at times, resulting from their motherās very liberal speech around her kids. but, all of this is dependent on the player. if you have any discomfort with playing a potty-mouth, thereās no need to!
they are very close. they love each other a lot and were raised to put each other first. they grew up with their lives practically plastered on entertainment news, so family first, ohana, and the rest has always been a big ideal for gi to instill in her children. growing up, all they really had were each other.
joss forester. 53-56. rock and roll hall of famer.
picture this. youāre twenty years old and youāre just getting brushed with the tantalizing sense of what fame can be for you. youāre talented beyond belief, sight-reading notes as if the sheets are branded in your skull, you can improvise a run on a les paul that would raise the eyebrows of alice cooper, and you know the piano surface is not a place for you to plow into your latest conquest, no matter how long her legs may be. youāre joss forester and rock and roll is yours.
this was the mantra that repeated itself along the hemispheres of joss foresterās (born joseph forestieri) brain circa 1979. jon bon jovi, bruce springsteen, billy joel, joss-- all in the same vein. heās a rock god and still has the groupie fan base to prove it. of course, heās a musician first, never indulging in the joys of fangirl flesh, because truth be told, he learned his lesson over thirty-five years ago when giselle lee shuffled her way into his life.it was a backstage tryst after a show, meant nothing more, but the forester swimmers are strong, determined, and can permeate even the toughest bonds of trojan latex. from then on, it was joss and gi against the world. four kids later and theyāre no longer wed in the new york registrar. regardless, donāt doubt joss wouldnāt still drop to his knees and kiss the feet of the woman heās always loved. the day his love, adoration, and respect for her dies is the day he draws his last breath. make of that what you will.
career-wise, the bronx native has it all and more. tour dates sell out within five minutes of ticketmasterās release and a new generation belt his songs in a drunken stupor. the foresterās legacy lives on and he couldnāt be more proud and humbled by the result. heās lax as ever, smiles at cameras, on a good day, and signs autographs no matter where he is. he carries himself with a dignified air that has a great deal of modesty, is charismatic to boot, and is an annoying smooth talker when need be. family? well, youāve caught him here. he hasnāt been a very prominent part of his familyās life until recently. heād stop in for the twinsā birthday or his eldest sonās baseball championship game, but the road was a mistress that had him by the balls. heās trying to rectify that.
giselle lee. 51-54. devoted mother and certified bamf.
giselle is a romanian born, american bred artist, who is known for spreading her legs at the age of eighteen to welcome the first embryo of joss forester. crude? the media didnāt seem to think so at the time. nevertheless, the slander did not halt the lioness in her quest to make joss realize that she was the love of his life. what was their relationship like? in a nutshell, the lyrics of āfaithfullyā by journey tapped the wretched heartstrings of a young musician. giselle would give everything to him and get less than an ounce in return. she was the mother of his children, a wounded woman who raised them with dignity and pride while her husband scurried around sticking his prick in the first woman he saw in each city he stopped in on tour. the media was relentless, scrambling to document the on and off hardships of their long-distance relationship. she loved him faithfully, but her love for her kids and self-respect surmounted the tortuous fifteen years of non-marriage he put her through.
outside of her love life, she was a boulder in her kidsā lives, taking them to and from her home country, speaking to them in both english and romanian to assure their bilingualism, and inspiring them through her perseverance to follow her own dreams. giselle lee made a name for herself that was completely detached from her ex-husband and became a new york times bestselling author and renowned performance artist, known for pushing the boundaries society has given to her.
giselle is a proud feminist and raised her children to hold the same respect for women she holds her herself. sheās comfortable in her skin, speaks with a dry candor, and has no problem being naked around her house, much to the chagrin of any of her kids. it's a way to keep them out of her house. sheās a no bullshit taken or given type of individual who served joss forester with divorce papers after the last birthday party he missed in favor of a performance. as mentioned, her kids come first and anyone in their lives who hasnāt made it through her personal exam is canceled.
cody forester. 33-35. eldest.
perhaps the "straight man" of the forester children, cody (name optional) is the eldest of the bunch and acts like it, much to the dismay of his younger siblings. cody is the left-brained one, thinks mostly with rationale and logic, and his career is probably a good reflection of this. cody has his life together, for the most part. he loves his siblings and as much as he likes to front, he'd do absolutely anything for them. he'd have the most strained relationship with his father, being the eldest and seeing everything that occurred in his childhood from a more mature lens. out of the four of them, he's the most likely to be married and have started his family, but this is completely up to the person playing him!
casey forester. 31. thing 1 (sebastian stan 2). taken by buffy
older than carson, just by six minutes, casey is the other identical twin in this family. he and carson were inseparable when they were younger, as expected, and liked to mess around with everyone they met. they regularly played the "twin game", sometimes even fooling cody and their father, but it didn't work on their keen mother. they shared a room, and thereās a great possibility they hate the favorite color/superhero/etc. of the other twin because of how much they saw it as kids. they have that sixth sense with each other and they almost always know when something isn't right with each other. their friendship is cute, insufferable, and annoying because they're now in their early thirties and still act like children when they get together.
carson forester. 31. thing 2 (sebastian stan 1). taken by lena.
as the other middle child, in true rebellious fashion, carson is a tornado-- a catastrophe of emotions, bad decisions, and spontaneity that was only made worse by the field he chose to pursue. he started out as a gymnast, transitioning into ballet by the age of six, and once he picked up the gift, he never looked back. caught up in the harsh world of professional dance, carson became addicted to cocaine and a cocktail of other drugs for about five years. he tried his hardest to avoid his family throughout it, but they were the ones who pushed him in and out of rehabs, cut him off from enabling relationships while he recovered, and practically begged him to get better. now four years clean, carson is a choreographer who has a studio in maine. heās also working on things with his dad.
courtney forester. 24-27. youngest.
the youngest and frankly, the smartest of the bunch, courtney (name optional) is the only daughter of joss and gi. she's also the child who could easily strike fear in the heart of a basilisk as her father once put. courtās the spunkiest of the bunch and itās easy to see how she and carson are related. much like her oldest brother, she's extremely book and street smart, witty candor sharp as ever, especially wherever her family is concerned. when she and cody have deep conversations, it might as well be a different language for anyone listening in. as much as the prospect of being anything like her father irks her, she has a knack for instruments too.

[tw: drug/alcohol mention, use, abuse]
years ago, he twirled en fouette, spinning repeatedly with the force of his own strength, all in the hopes of impressing faculty members that the school of american ballet. dance had been the sole thing on his mind then. heād dabbled in a bit of every genre, starting with jazz, shifting to contemporary, and landing in the cutthroat world of broadway and ballet. he liked it because of the pure power the choreography required. not everyone could hold their bodyās weight upright on the tips of their feet and very few could launch themselves into the air with enough spatial recognition to maintain perfect body arches and lines. it satisfied his competitive nature and his adventurous personality, noting the underlying sense of danger to dance that no one ever seemed to acknowledge. lost focus for even a fraction of a second could result in disastrous consequences. broken toes, shifted bones, and concussions were all a part of a world he loved.
he graduated high school, mediocre student at best, with the bulk of his achievements attributed to performing arts classes. visual art and photography were interesting enough, but theatre, dance, and music featured a stage-- an open, vulnerable space with a fourth wall real enough that one could feel closed off to the world. he couldnāt sing worth a lick, and as much as his fatherās name became synonymous with classic rock, carson hadnāt quite yet grown out of his punk rock phase. theatre was the next best thing, carson having an appreciation for the art with his small ensemble stints in the city. his high school didnāt offer dance outside of a nonsensical, extracurricular club and to someone whoād been dancing for as long as he could walk properly, it was offensive. so, he never took school seriously. carson did enough to get by and putting the rest of his focus into his budding career.
after high school came real life, pushing the eighteen year old to san francisco and further hone his skills in ballet. he spent a solid two years of his life there before ultimately deciding that new york city played his siren song. four years later, following intensive classes and training, he auditioned for and joined the corps de ballet at the new york city ballet. he was actually going somewhere big, a step off the ladder from abt, baryshnikov, and all of the prestige that came with principal work under their artistic direction. nycb boasted its own accolades, founded by balanchine, the father of american ballet, but carsonās real goal was the american ballet theatre. he saw himself in a decade, or even lesser, as a principal dancer, an artist that abt was proud to have in its company. he worked hard, as was his wont to do, made friends within the company and eventually made enough money to get his own apartment just outside of manhattan. he was young, invincible, and his life in a word? incredible.
as with most teenagers in his circle, carson knew what pot was. heād tried it in the past, finding the sensations in his body pretty hilarious and even euphoric sometimes. he was nowhere near a habitual user, but when a social occasion brought about the bud, carson was down to take a hit. alcohol came next, accelerating him into a party phase he wasnāt aptly prepared for. on his twenty-first birthday, carson finally understood the meaning of āblackout drunkā. he was twenty-three the first time he tried something that wasnāt weed or alcohol. some members of the company threw a small cast party after the closing night of his first real dancing role within a professional dance company. one of them had brought a little blow, enough to go around a few times at least, and with carson, the itch scratched. he had an addictive personality, a trait he took from his dad, and cocaine happened to be the right mix of everything. a coke high gave him more energy than he could even handle and no cloudiness. his reaction times were faster, he saw everything brighter and clearer, and it suppressed his appetite enough to where he could hit those ridiculous weight requirements asked of him. he wasnāt unhealthy or overweight. carson had always been lean and after his last growth spurt, he could start to see muscles that threatened to broaden his celebrated lithe figure. the little, infectious white powder took care of that, keeping him slim and ballet appropriate. the goal was to look as light as a feather yet possess an extreme amount of power and cocaine gifted that ability.
at least it did for the first couple of sessions. with the drug came a violent streak that carson always had tucked away in the event of self-defense. he was always a little spicy, a bit of a fighter, but never without reason. coming down from a high killed his happiness, making him feel dizzy, not all there, and often times irritated about it. he could lash out at the crack of a whip, and when he started unleashing on his family, his twin, christian was the first to know that something was wrong. they rarely saw him on the weekends anymore, his regular calls to them dwindling as he moved further and further away from sobriety. carson had two things on his mind: dancing and being high.
