Okay so I am the BIGGEST scaredy cat I know, and I’ve been wanting to support Carrot’s game for a long time by playing but horror vns (the horror genre really)  have not been kind to me. Ever. But I don’t know, I downloaded the game about an hour ago, took the biggest deep breath, toggled the streaming mode and censored mode, turned my volume down to like level 2, and hit the start button.

And I’m really liking it so far?!?!

Granted, I’m only about a half hour into the game, and the Thoughts are Forming slowly (#tiredbrain) but I’m having fun. The use of animation is chef’s kiss, the interactions and dialogue between the friend group are funny, and I already feel a kinship towards Iggy.

Continuing to stack up losses in our adventures in Easter, we as Easter must continue to search around in the darkness to find the correct path with who's in front. Our journey ends off here with us being the only one left alive, though are there other ways to traverse through the game, ways to avoid deaths for our friends, or other ways to go when being chased. Only time shall tell.

This is Easter, an rpg horror game made in RPG Maker VX Ace by Carrot Patch Games that doesn't have any relevance to easter eggs, bunny rabbits or carrots at all. We play as Easter, who's out with their friends for a nostalgic trip to the lake where they once went, but comes across a storm that halts their progress. Leading to an abandoned house that may or may not be safe.

"One stormy night at the onset of what should have been a nostalgic trip to the lake, Easter and his friends make a pit stop at an old, abandoned house along the side of the road. What should have been a short-lived indoor camping adventure, however, turns into a hellish nightmare when something begins hunting them down one-by-one. The house is not what it seems, and memories from the boys’ past could be the key to everything… if they can only make it through the night."
