Pepin of Italy (777-810) was King of Italy under the tutelage of his father Charlemagne from 781 until his death.
He was nominated King of Italy after his father's victory over the Lombards in 781, being crowned by Pope Adrian I with the Iron Crown.
He was an active ruler in Italy and worked to expand the Frankish empire.
Upon his death, the crown of Italy passed to his illegitimate son, Bernard.
