I haven't really decided what this space is for yet.
But I felt compelled to make it. So, here we are. I've debated making an account on Medium, on Substack, even on DeviantArt or something but all of those feel so... monetized and AI-driven. I haven't really been on Tumblr in a while but from the little bit I've seen, it feels like it's at least a teensy bit isolated. Or maybe it's the familiarity of the layout, barely changed, mercifully so. I'm probably getting old. But I don't think I know a single person who witnessed late 90s/early 00s internet that doesn't feel nostalgic for that era.
The odds are pretty good I'll eventually post:
Poems
Lyrics
Random nonfiction musings
Art? like physical art??
Music recordings??? (doubt)
VIDEOS???? (super doubt)
Microblogs
Shitposts
Having said that, the vibes here are sure to be:
Side shave having, KN95 wearing, they/them pronouns using kinda queer
Sometimes channeling that early 2010s sad Tumblr girl energy (think more Halsey and less Lana though)
Equally fascinated and bamboozled by the passage of time
Healing the urge to dissociate with confessional poetry in the face of unprecedented event after unprecedented event
Glimmer-seeking even though I hate the word "glimmer" as the inverse of trigger (fr I encourage you to submit your suggested word alternative)
Buddhist witch Hellenistic astrologer studying San Yuan Feng Shui
Lavender and crimson cyberwitch in a 90s anime aesthetic
Crying at small yet profound displays of human goodness
Recovering academic attempting to remember how to be creative just for the love of it
Wherever I am on this journey, hello, hope you're doing alright. Thanks for stopping by. If you're so compelled, stay awhile and listen.
