Scotland head coach Shelley Kerr says sheâs ânot too concernedâ about her team potentially taking a heavy beating from world champions United States.
Kerrâs side â 19th in the world â host the USA in Paisley on Tuesday and she is âintriguedâ to see how they cope.
The US have been the worldâs highest-ranked side for the best part of four years and won the World Cup in 2015.
âA lot of people are saying âwhat if you take a heavy defeat?â But Iâm not caring,â Kerr said.
âWeâve got a game plan and we want to try and measure ourselves against the best team in the world.
âWe could draw USA in the World Cup, so itâs important that just now, while itâs still 2018, that we get a real opportunity to see where weâre at as a national team.â

Kerr called for ârealismâ among home fans about her sideâs chances given the âcontinuous flowâ of talent emerging in the US compared to the â11,000-12,000 registered playersâ in Scotland.
But she hoped supporters will turn out to see the worldâs top players â just as they did when a record crowd of 4,000 attended the Scotsâ final World Cup qualifying match against Switzerland.
Kerr is without several key players â Arsenal trio Kim Little, Emma Mitchell and Lisa Evans, plus 1899 Hoffenheim defender Sophie Howard â but she will judge the success of the game by âthree strandsâ.
She explained: âThereâs the performance side, the legacy side, and thereâs also a huge opportunity for everyone in Scotland to see some global names across the world in womenâs football.
âI think what we have got is a group of good players. Training all week has been fantastic and the dynamics in the group has been great.â
