HAPPY BIRTHDAY @wishjacked
Just for fun I did some quick OC doodles, featuring casual clothing and a little bit of magic. I still haven’t decided on the color or style for it yet tho. (The top right doodle is how Tahlo draws himself.)Â
It’s been a long time, but I finally have settled on designs for my two main characters! We have Tahlo (left) and Rua, (right) a pair of bike couriers living in a world that is rapidly running out of magic. Their city is a melting pot of many different clans, each with their own secretive heritable style of magic, social norms, and dangerous power plays.Â
Tahlo uses his fairly small amount of magic in creative ways, after being barred from learning his clan’s hereditary techniques due to his parentage. He’s smart, cheerful, cries easily while reading books, and loves his half-sister more than anyone. His strained family relationships bother him more than he lets on, but hey, other people’s feelings are more important, right?
Rua has zero magical potential, but makes up for his with his knife skills. He’s responsible, or at least as responsible as a teenager can get. While living in a foreign country is tough on him, he’s not sure that even if he ever finds a way to get home, if there will be a place for him.Â
I’m hoping to get the comic up and running by the end of the summer, but for now, stay tuned for more designs and info!
