Here's a long-form post for all you bathroom readers. Some memories popped up. I'll try to keep this from getting too long because there is a LOT to unpack.

Caravan would go on the occasional manic gifting spree with cheaper one-off stuff. Think sparkledogs, dragons, etc. The expensive stuff she sometimes gave away went to her friends. 99% of it ended up resold or traded by her, afaik.

The way Jesse handled Caravan's gifts is...in character for him. For context, I know three of these gifts because they used to be dreamies I was following around until I got a life. If there's more, don't tell me.

How pathetic do you have to be to grift from your mentally-ill friend? And if the friendship is going down the tubes, break it off or work it out, but don't accept expensive gifts during that time.

We'll never know all the details because Jesse has no motivation to be truthful, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jesse's...over-acceptance of Caravan's illness-driven generosity became a sticking point.

Did Jesse ever like Caravan? I don't think he did because it seems to me that her behavior became intolerable only after she became a pariah and couldn't buy those shiny PNGs anymore. She had a reputation from the start. It's not like her erratic behavior started late in the game.

It makes sense that Jesse went to Densy. The two have the same base personality type: petty, bitter, and cold to the bone.  If you told me he was selective about the screenshots he sent to Densy and gave reasonable proof of that, I'd believe you.

Well-worth the read, imo. Even if you don't care about the gift thing, he's a piece of shit and I imagine the people he surrounds himself with can't be any better. What a shame all around.

We’re all eating right out of her hand. It’s sad that she’s gotten so burnt out, but she didn’t give a shit about her customer’s mental health. Why is hers so important all of a sudden? I hope she feels better. At the same time, I see right through her and I hope to fuck some of you do as well.

Oh woe is me, I took 20.5 THOUSAND dollars and delivered a subpar product. And then another of Densy’s staff scammed by not drawing the art extras. Leaving aside everything but that and Caravan-Outpost’s own mental health from that journal, Densy doesn’t come out of this smelling like a rose either.

Hell, leave out Caravan-Outpost’s mental health as well if you want. I tallied it. A 23500 dollar scam. That’s almost a year’s min wage! It doesn’t matter if your customer is batshit crazy. If you take their money in exchange for a service, then you should provide that service and at 20.5 THOUSAND dollars, it should be damn good service.
