"So are you lost or did you actually come here to see little ol' me?"
Just Some Orphans In Brooklyn | captrepairboy | CLOSED
“Leo Valdez.” Steve blurted out aloud, reading the paper he was handed by the woman running the orphanage.
He shrugged his shoulders lightly, glancing about as he saw other boys his age shuffling by. Some bumped shoulders with him, throwing him these evil glares he really didn’t appreciate.
“Why does everyone have to be so gosh darned rude around here?”
Steve sighed as he pushed—to the best of his ability given his small frame—through the crowd of obnoxious and hormonal young men. He wasn’t going to let them stop him from getting out of here—it sucked here, just like Bucky said.
Why does he always have to be right? I just want to be independent for God’s sake!
That’s when Steve knocked into a boy his size, stumbling backwards onto his behind as he glanced at the boy, embarrassed. This one didn’t seem so bad, but he looked as though he’d seen some trouble, too. Steve was the type covered in bruises, but this kid, well, just by how he looked on the outside, Steve knew he must have faced some discrimination. Steve hated that.
“Hey, sorry, pal.” He said as he stood up, holding out his scrawny hand.
“My name’s Steve—Steve Rogers.”
