"Uh.. listen, I kind of need a big favor. I don’t know who else to ask..” Ruby rubbed the back of her neck nervously and ran her fingers through her undercut. It was a nervous tic of hers Emma had picked up on, even though she only got her hair cut a few months ago.

“What’s up?” Emma set down her pen and leaned back in her chair.

“With all this rain, my apartment flooded while I was at work yesterday, so I can’t stay there for a while. And I could stay in a room at Granny’s, but you know how cramped that place is and.. how loud it can be at times. So, I was wondering if I could.. crash at your place?”

or, Ruby needs a place to stay after her apartment is ruined. Luckily, Killian and Emma have a spare bedroom. But when a casual crashing-on-the-couch slowly turns into domestic bliss, they realize they both don’t want their new roommate to leave. (Ruby never left in Season 4. Post S5, but no S6 events occur.)
