He woke up violently, as if he was startled awake by some strange force. Sabo immediately regretted his action as his body started protesting at the sudden movement. He muffled a cry of pain, squinting his eyes when he noticed the person standing near the door. His hackles raised, and he narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
He recognized the man standing over him. A very distinguishable man that Sabo would never expect to see in a hospital by his side in a million years.
“I don’t…” He trailed off, wincing against the spike of pain behind his eyes. “What are you doing here?”
He had intended for his question to come out rude, but the weakness and dizziness make it came out as a tired slur instead. He does not remember how he had gotten to his state, and felt dread and worry crept up on him when he does not sense anyone but Eustass Kid around. Where was Koala? Where was Hack or his team?
And why the hell does he not remember anything?
