I have always enjoyed being a prolific writer.

As a result, part of my new year's resolution this year is to write an average of 400 words per day throughout the year. That's 146k words in a year. I'll probably post a few updates on progress throughout the year. Maybe something each month. We'll see.

So far, it's been going well. I've got over 5k words written in a new fic that I've been contemplating for a while!

I'm contemplating sharing snippets here, but I'm not sure if it would be more fun to do that or keep it a secret until I finally start publishing chapters on AO3.

@siriannatan which is such a good writer and has so many good ideas for oneshots and drabbles and is the one person who got me back into reading fanfiction :D

@hollowwish which writes, in my opinion, the best fwhimmy fanfics there are. He is such an amazing writer and i am amazed every day we are mutuals. Also does very cute art as well

@captain-writes, because everyone should just go and read captains fanfics. I had the honor to draw for them and i have read some of his fanfics more than 7 times already and i keep coming back to them because, wow, are they good.

Summary:

Following the battle to free Xornoth and Scott from the clutches of the prophecy that hung over them, a festival and series of masquerade balls are held as a celebration and encouragement of international cooperation and friendship. Count Fwhip, nervous to attend the gatherings in Rivendell, finds the courage to attend the masquerades anonymously, hiding his identity from even Gem. Along the way, he meets a mysterious gentleman who wants to court him. With the courtship well on its way, the festival and masquerades end and identities are revealed, leading to Fwhip getting swept into a deeper and more expansive relationship.

Oh goodness, thank you so much! I have been battling intense writer’s block but my list of things to write does currently include more Leather and Feather Claims! I have a few ideas rattling around in my brain.

Alright, here's the update for January on my average 400 words per day goal!

Honestly, I did alright for the first half of the month. I kept up with my goals fairly well.

Unfortunately in the second half of the month, I had a few things get in the way of staying on top of it. Like my plumbing needing to get looked at by professionals and some mental health slumps.

But hey! Here's the breakdown!

31 days of January x 400 words per day = 12400 words

My total words for January = 9000 words
