It’s not necessarily ships, but he’s got a whole thing against certain governments and chooses to go after them rather than opposing pirates. He’s actually super into ships and planes and reads about them constantly, so if he can he will steal people’s ships because he likes them so much. He has so many people in his following, he doesn’t even have to kidnap or force them. There’s men and women, but no children on the ships. Unless they hid themselves, he can’t stand having families or people in relationships that are a part of his crew. He has a ton of weight on his shoulders, he doesn’t want their deaths to carry more weight than they already do. He personally has a soft spot towards Junks, which have a varying number of masts and sails made of bamboo.
