100% yes. mack has never, ever wanted anything that came easily to him. he needs to fight for something, feel like he's earned it, in order to let himself have it. critically, he likes to work for it; grew up working for it. like, this is the kid whose father forced him to run an extra 5 sets of hill sprints one day bc ugh work sucked or whatevs??
