Sooo, guess who didn´t sleep because she saw a publication of yours talking about a fantasy trilogy and has no self control? I loved the Summoner trilogy so much! Who is your favourite character? On an unrelated note , i just discovered your aus tag and spent like 40 minutes reading them all ann they are all awesome
Oh my gosh thank you so much, I’m so glad you like my aus!
And also super super excited that you read the Summoners trilogy! It’s one of my favourite series ever <3 I own all five books set in the universe XD
It’s super hard to choose a favourite charactee though, because they’re all absolutely lovely. Honestly though, if I had to choose it would probably be Fletcher first, with Arcturus at a very close second, and Othello right behind him.
Fletcher is such a sweet and caring person who always tries his best, and it’s absolutely amazing seeing him grow throughout the series from the unsure orphan who doesn’t now his purpose in life, to the a fully fledged battlemage and more.
If you haven’t read the Outcast and the Summoner’s Handbook yet, I totally recommend them too!
In the Outcast you get to see Captain Arcturus’ first year at Vocans, and in the Summoner’s Handbook, you get to learn more about James Baker, the guy whose journal started Fletcher on his journey! I’m not that far into the Summoner’s Handbook yet, but it’s super lovely, and it’s awesome because it has illustrations of all the different demons that are mentioned throughout the series, so you get to see what they all look like :D
Harold: Has anyone ever, at any point in your life, told you they love you?
Arcturus: Does family count?
Harold: Yes.
Arcturus: Then no.
Arcturus: Captain Arcturus, nice to meet you.
Fletcher: *shakes hand* Person Fletcher.
Arcturus: *clicks pen*
Lovett: *clicks pen in response*
Zacharias: stop that
Arcturus: stop what?
Zacharias: I know you two are talking about me in morse code
Arcturus: yes Zacharias, we took a class on an incredibly outdated form of communication so we could talk about you in front of you
*later*
Arcturus: *to Edmund* that's exactly what we did

Cavendish: Why is your report card on the ceiling?
Arcturus: You said to bring my grades up
Cavendish: ...
Cavendish: I did say that now let me see 'em
Charles: Why don't you stay down and die with dignity?
Arcturus: I don't do anything with dignity!
AU where Arcturus raises Fletcher after his parents are killed by the orcs. Being a close friend of Edmund and Alice, Arcturus is the only one that Sir Caulder trusts with his young lord, because he wouldn’t have known about the secret mountain passage (as he hadn’t grown up a noble) and so couldn’t have betrayed them!
He knows that he’s the only family Fletcher has left and that if he were to die, his beautiful boy would be left all on his own, so he doesn’t go after the orcs that had killed Edmund and Alice, and consequently doesn’t end up losing his right eye or getting his scar.
Arcturus takes up a permanent teaching position at Vocans, doing administrative work, and making sure Fletcher grows up knowing how much his parents had adored him and each other. He becomes the steward of the Raleigh properties and fortunes, helping manage everything until Fletcher is old enough to do it himself, and hiring countless tutors to make sure Fletcher knows all his duties and responsibilities.
And after decades of searching, Arcturus finally finds the family he’s always yearned for in the form of the son of two of the people he had loved most in the world.
