1:Favorite background and psych profile?
I try and try to do something different, but unless I’m concentrating, I end up Colonist/Sole Survivor every time. I can’t say why, exactly; maybe obsessive hero syndrome? Or I just like to hurt my characters? It’s probably that.
9:What squad member do you bring along the most?
There is no Shepard without Vakarian. The other person may change, but Garrus rarely leaves the squad.
10:What squad member do you bring along the least?
Changes with the game, of course, but I rarely use the soldier-types (like Ashley or Vega), and then some squaddies I like, such as Tali and EDI, just never seem useful, and then there’s the ones I don’t like, who only get taken for walkies when the game insists. More on that in a second.
11:Are there any squad members you just don’t like?
LIARA. I despise her and the way the game keeps throwing her in my face: “You like her? Or course you do. She’s compulsory for this mission! And this one! Because you love her! You’d bring her along anyway!” and I’m “No. No, I don’t like her. I find her voice irritating, I do not think asari are sexy, and her obsession with Shepard makes my skin crawl.”
I’m also not a huge fan of Vega, Ashley, Kaidan or Miranda.
Definitively: Elcor. With great fangirlishness: Just when you think they’re nothing but comic relief, their Ambassador pulls that “Not enough” and breaks your heart.
Thoughtfully: I will admit to loving the turians as well. For Garrus, and for Nyreen, and all the others. Mischievously: Especially the Techno Turian.
25:What mission do you dread every time you get there?
I have a couple… In no particular order.
The Geth Server, for that one node I can never find.
The Luna Base in 1, for those never-ending turrets.
The Asari Monastery in 3, for those two Banshees in close quarters.
Anything where I have to have Liara.
30:Share a headcanon about one of your Shepards
As mentioned before, I played ME2 without having played ME1, and I spent most of the game a little bit confused. Eventually I decided that the Lazarus Project hadn’t installed Kerrigan’s memories properly. I intend to write it as a proper story some time soon.
A regular paragon in 1, she’ll actually turn renegade in 2 - Cerberus brought her back from the dead and gave her a ship, why wouldn’t she be loyal to them? She’ll eventually fall for Thane, though - the woman who can’t remember anything and the man who can’t forget - goodness, that sounds cheesy.
