Luzern, as seen from the top of Mt Pilatus. From this angle, one could be forgiven for thinking the Swiss Alps are a myth.

Another view of the valley behind Mt Pilatus. Oh, and another of “those birds”.  This is may be one of my best shots of them because they were forever on the move.

Pretty sure this was going up on the Pilatus Cog Railway. Good view to the Alps to the south - but also, this is someone’s home, or farm, up here on the steep-as slopes.

Passing! the up and down Mt Pilatus cog railway sets passing each other at the halfway point. Look past the power lines for a not bad view into the upper reaches of Lake Lucerne and the valley.

Someone having a good time up on Mt Pilatus, looking down on Luzern / Lucerne, with the cable car bringing up the next batch of admirers - one of the three ways of getting up to the summit.

Just some picturesque swiss building on the side of a hill above Lac Luzern.
