Can Framis Museum Is the latest Fundació Vila Casas museum @fundacio.vila.casas . Opened in April 2009 in Barcelona, it has around 300 works on show dating from the 1960’s onwards by a wide range of artists born or living in Catalonia. Can Framis was a factory built at the end of the 18th century that fell into disuse, becoming a monument to the industry of the area. Today, as a Museum of Contemporary Painting, it is an ideal place for the contemplation of art located at 22@ district. The conversion of the building was undertaken by BAAS architects @jordibadia . Llindar i celístia by Jordi Fulla @jordifulla_on is the temporary exhibition you can visit currently at Can Framis until June 16th. The curatorial inspiration for this exhibition came from a specific type of rural construction which is found throughout the countryside. These constructions, beyond their functions as shelter and storage, are elements which catalyze space and time and are regarded by the painter Jordi Fulla as intimate habitats encouraging a transposition to the human – the stone structure as skin. This favors our dream states where we project a space for refuge, retreat or reflection, thus sparking a symbiosis between the immaterial and tangible worlds. Consisting of paintings, drawings and a large pictorial installation which transforms the interiors and doorways of these stone huts into a vacuum and a site for transit, of existence itself, the exhibition becomes a tour of the great enigmas that inhabit existence. . #CanFramis #LlindarCelistia #Barcelona #architecture #art (at Can Framis Museum) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwpQyu5Ha6Z/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1t1nbzfir8lke
