for CC purging, i usually take out my entire mods folder at once and put everything back one at a time. i also open the package in s4s and delete swatches i dont need. to minimize the cc i have, i also sometimes resort cc (skin details specifically) so i dont have to have more than one or two versions of any file in my game.
Here’s another (more organized than mine!) method, @whydoievenplaythisgame ! I used to delete swatches in S4S but it’s been several months... thanks for the reminder, Candyyyyyyy!
Another thing people do to help speed things up in merge their CC files in S4S. Now, I’ve seen that some people basically merge EVERYthing, That seems a bit risky to me in case files get updated etc, but I do merge them by creator/type--for example, all of the kitchen clutter by Sandy @aroundthesims will get a single file, all of the bathroom clutter by her gets another, etc.
