Merry Christmas Bucky đ
Maybe itâs the holidays or the fact that every morning seeing your displays bring a smile to my face⌠or the fact that you sample and test even the worst of my creations, but Iâm feeling sentimental and I wanted you to know if I havenât said it alreadyâ Iâm so very grateful to know you and have you in my life.
Last year my Christmas wish was for someone I could call a friend as itâs been lonely since I moved over here. You have been an answered prayer Bucky, a friend and more, and you bring me so much joy.
Next night out, drinks are on me.
Bring both your left feet đ
Iâll make sure thereâs snacks in my purse to soak everything up when we get ahead of ourselves.
Never change. âĽď¸

Bucky finds the note slipped into that morning's bag of croissants he'd picked up on the way to his shop. Bakeries and florists did not have the luxury of closing for Christmas --- too many people in need of last minute gifts, and something to take back to their families --- though Bucky had started a little later, stopping by for a Christmas morning breakfast at his sister's house.
He reads Peggy's note as he munches on a croissant, hearing the words off the page in her voice. They bring a smile to his face, and a warmth to his chest. It seemed they had both found each other in times of need, become a support first by the proximity of their shops, and then as friends.
He sends her a text during the first ten minutes that he doesn't have a customer in the shop.
' Merry Christmas Pegs!! Thank you for the note. This year wouldn't have been the same without you. I'm very glad you decided to grace this country (and me) with your presence. Tomorrow night, when the bars open, you and me. You haven't been dancing til you've been dancing with me ;) '
