Cameron was in the observation room because Ms Campbell had told him to watch what was apparently a complex, rare procedure. He’d hoped to be in theatre with her and his mum but had been denied.

Beside him, surprisingly, were several other surgeons and the CEO, who suddenly cleared his throat. “Maybe you should focus on the procedure, Dr Dunn.”

“Just wondering why it’s so busy here,” Cam muttered.

A surgeon in burgundy scrubs snorted. “You have no idea how special these two are, do you? Especially Ms Wolfe.”

“Right. Special.”

“Dr Copeland is correct.” Hanssen nodded. “Watch and learn.”

Little side note: I don't know what it is, but I've got a feeling something happens to Cameron later in the series and I don't know what it is. I don't know if he turns out to be an idiot or something, or him and Bernie fall out, but right now, they're pretty cute so

Cameron searched the ward for Bernie, running into Dom, who he'd met coming into the hospital. "I'm looking for my mum... uh ms. Wolfe?"

"Your mum?" Dom looked bemused, "if she's not here, you should know she's got a soft spot for the roof."

Sure enough, that's where he found her.

"Cam, what're you doing here?"

"Could ask you the same."

Bernie shrugged, "Open sky. Helps me think."

"Would you mind if I thought with you... for a little bit?"

I’ve always loved this moment here. Serena’s relationship with Cameron has always been sweet but this is one of my favourites, before they knew each other properly.
