VERY different vibes from the first book, but if you wanted more plot (and trauma), then it delivers.

Atleast the first 75% is basically human trafficking trauma- and dealing with that. And honestly, a bit of slow burn compared to the first book. Understandably, of course- no hate to Addie.

And then the last 25% is some weird hot and cold shit I didn't understand. Love Zade though- he was consistently freaky. Just wasn't getting Addie. Felt a bit late in the game to lash out at him again. But maybe that's me not being as empathetic as I could've been. Bit of a heavy topic, so for my sanity I think I tried to not get too into it.

I also almost didn't love the epilogue, since I think it's a bit lame to have the epilogue just be another spice scene - especially when the whole end was basically spice after spice. BUT, we saved it with the anal and proposal. Made it different enough for me.
