Throwback⬅️ to back/tricep/posterior shreds 👹 I figured I would share some things I learned from my last bulk, and some reasons that I find bulking/higher caloric intake to be beneficial so here they are: ✨you can fit more treats, but you may pay later. Sure you will inevitability gain some excess fat, but with extra processed foods comes extra weight gain, health issues, and potentially cellulite gain which is much more stubborn than just fat to lose. ✨continue to eat your veggies/micros - don't just eat what "fits". Micros/veggies/whole foods will give you more clean energy than eating things like Oreos and tons of pasta. Of course I eat things like bean pastas, corn pasta, and quinoa pasta, but whole grains are going to be more beneficial than having a loaf of white bread because it "fits". ✨lift heavy and set goals. Set PR goals for yourself and make plans to hit them! Maintaining strength is also important, but that's another time. ✨cardio is imperative. I reduced my cardio to about nothing (I walk so often that that barely counts for me) and I found that I had lost the cardiovascular strength I once had. I was out of breath much easier, so I plan to continue doing cardio throughout my bulk, just to a lower degree. ✨mental health benefits! You will be eating more, having more strength, more energy, and more flexibility with your diet. Dieting can be stressful, and having excess calories to work with won't leave you with that lingering hungry feeling or the stress of "when's my next meal". These are MY personal favorite things and lessons I've learned throughout my fitness experience, and I hope they could have helped someone!
