Yuzu buried her face in her oversized sweater, wide dark eyes peering around the streets. Strangers, strangers, always strangers; not a single smile among them. It was easier to look down and hope they didn’t actually notice her. But it was fine. She had her own little corner, and that was all she needed. Her own little corner in an alleyway.
But someone was already there. She stared at the pillow fort, wondering why someone had taken the time to lay pillows and blankets out in the alleyway.
Ah! Here she was. The little girl did not have to wait as long as she thought, sitting in the improvised castle made of feather pillows and warm blankets. It all looked pretty comfortable though somewhat precarious.
As soon as she saw the other girl, she came out of the hiding place to greet her with a bright smile on her face.Â
{♣}--"Welcome, Princess!!" She exclaimed all of sudden, raising her hand enthusiastically and already creating a whole world by her own, seemingly hoping for the girl to join her in.
