Summary: He watches a glistening tear catch on his fearless leader's lip and it’s enough to draw pressure around his own chest. Pain, just there on the edge of his awareness. In which Jean stays dead in an alternate epilogue to DoFP, leaving behind a mutually scarred Scott and Logan to pick up without her. Or, time travel is a clean solution in theory, and not in much else.
My thoughts: I don't want Jean dead but their grief compels me. They saved each other. Scott suffers quite a bit tho.
