Thanks to all of you that watched my first Periscope yesterday about a subject I thought was quite arcane. Thank you for all your comments, encouragement and kindness!! I am really glad I found this community. I will try to answer some of your questions in the next days – regarding the ink I used and the books I showed you. Don’t hesitate to ask me more 😀! For all who want to find out more about the Eszett – I even mispelled it in yesterday’s post! – check the Wikipedia entry. If you search for sz, it will pop up (ß), in case don’t find the glyph on your phone or computer. The next big thanks goes to Paul @pascribe. Wow, thank you for chiming in. Paul continued on Periscope what I showed you only in books, by explaining and demonstrating in his beautiful writing the origins and variations of that ligature. Please watch his video, if you haven’t already. Look out for the Bastard Secretary exemplar, it is gorgeous. Also Paul encouraged me to refresh my study of broad edge hands 😉. And the third thanks goes to Andrew, who also did a wonderful scope yesterday demonstrating the use of the Automatic Pen. I picked up one of mine this morning, but as you can see I’m still struggling to find the right ink. That is a Sennelier ink I thought could work as it is a bit thicker than walnut or iron gall, – it’s still not perfect. I’ll keep trying and testing! :: Dickes fettes Danke an alle, die gestern zugeguckt und kommentiert haben! #caligrafia #calligraphy #kalligrafie #thanks #calligrascope #textura #flourishforum #federflugcalligraphy
