this is the guy who traumatized him, the taller man. Eli. A gangster, Tom's boss and, um, *special friend*, who was fatally killed right in from of Tom when he was about 20.

havent shared artwork in a while

my experiences in highschool are far from good, but they are highlighted with memories of writing about my characters, putting them in similar situations so we had something in common, except they would usually get swept away on a grand adventure while i sat in the corner of the gym, drawing in my sketchbook, wishing i could escape with them.

The social commentary I accidentally built into these characters as I grew up and started getting jobs, going to college, and seeing life after highschool, they reflect my thoughts on all of it. the good, and the bad. I feel like we're finally meeting again at this point in my life where I've returned to them after a year or so of neglect, and I feel so much more connected to them, their thoughts, their experiences and troubles, and their moments of joy. they used to be a projection of what I saw life to be like from the inside, from my childhood, and now they've grown up alongside me, showing what life can look like from a hundred different angles. again, some good, some bad.
