So many strange things were happening in the city. Asriel never expected something to happen to him. It was the casual rule, after all, something bad always happened to someone else. His time would come when karma hit him, when true fear and pain would return and come crashing around him.
“Chaaara.” The small flower cried, quietly, tears streaming his white cheeks. He remembered it, the fabricated feeling of fear. He knew he was supposed to feel scared. All of the symptoms were here for Asriel. He felt the world moving faster, it was harder to breathe, his thoughts were racing and fragments of panicked memories were crossing his mental view. Yet, the physically feeling was absent. There was nothing but emptiness, a hollow stem of Asriel. The thought only made him choke on a sob.
The crying reminded him of sadness, something he wasn’t feeling.
“I c-c-can’t feel anything. Please h-help me.” The call was empty and unnoticed, roots spread across the floor. He needed to be in soil, he needed to feel the earth. He needed to feel something. The tears slowed faster than they should of, the only thing left being his sniffles. He remembered thinking about this before, he remembered the pain in his weakened soul, he remembered all of the feelings he wished he could grasp now.
Alas, there was nothing but a shattered flower.
