It’s apparent that we made an atrocious error when we totally missed out on Giana Caliolo’s project Calicoco last year. Calicoco’s debut album Float received plenty of critical kudos and praise, yet we somehow never found out about it till now. A new music video for album highlight Anchor Park has tuned us into Calicoco’s knotted and gnarled indie rock, whose uneven tread is tempered with  an earthy sincerity and a taut rawness. Much restless angst and disquietude haunts the song, but its stark honesty and sinewy warmth engages our oft uncertain and insecure hearts, guiding us onto a path of purgatory catharsis.
