GRAPHING CALCULATOR CHEATS
this is from me, a random high schooler
but! if you have a graphing calculator, look up quadratic formula programs! if you can get a program on your calculator that lets you put in a, b, and c then gives the roots(but probably only real answers): you can use that on the act!
also: graphing calculators take 4 triple-a batteries. almost all have easy removable backs!
you can also use it to solve the quadratic equation without a program like i mentioned. simply put it in under y=, and go to calc(2nd+graph) and do zero! you'll have to do it twice though to find both.
for absolute value: press math, go to num, and then abs(, put the equation in. like |2x-5| is abs(2x-5)
i just thought I'd post some of these, because they didn't teach us this in advanced algebra, but did so in pre-calc.
