it had not taken much for him to bristle ( the offense trivial at best ), and voices rose. even now, he words fall short of reassuring. his eyes narrow, though he does quiet ( slightly ). it is the quiet of an animal poised, waiting, deciding whether to fight or flee. ❛ then why are you here, love, if not to drag me over the coals for each of my many indiscretions? ❜ he might throw accusations, might add scathing remarks, might heap blame upon her ( for this, for so much else ). instead, he waits.

"I'd like it if we didn't take anything tonight seriously." That was stupid. He was one of those that took everything as though it were a weight laying down on his own two shoulders. He had to deal with the world needing him and sometimes it grew to be too much. Sometimes he felt almost bone weary. Not taking things serious would only last a short while and yet the idea was something that was more than appealing. "Have you ever tried that?" He questioned and silently the question came without communication. does it work?
