Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix flavor of your choice. 1/2 cup of frosting flavor to complement the cake. 1 package of candy melts white or skin-tone. 12 cake pop sticks. Edible food coloring pens. Small round candies for eyes. Pink candy melts for blush optional. Sprinkles or edible glitter optional.
Instructions: Bake the cake according to the package instructions and let it cool completely. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Add the frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until well combined. The mixture should be moist enough to hold its shape when rolled into balls. Form cake pop mixture into 12 small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Melt the candy melts according to the package instructions. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into the cake ball, about halfway through. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, coating it evenly. Tap off excess coating. Place the coated cake pops back on the lined baking sheet to set. Once the coating is set, use edible food coloring pens to draw baby faces on each cake pop. Attach small round candies as eyes onto the cake pops using a dab of melted candy melts. If desired, use pink candy melts to add blush to the baby faces. Decorate with sprinkles or edible glitter as desired. Allow the decorated cake pops to fully set and harden before serving or packaging as favors.
