Postgrad study on scholarship. Whoop. I’ve finished the first few days of The Royal Drawing School’s, Drawing year. A classmate, Dean, told me our start could be compared to a trip to Hogwarts - an old English rustic classroom with taxidermy birds hanging from the ceiling, neighbouring a human skeleton and a female prop. Pots were simmering on a table of colourful containers, tools and papers. Little did we know we were to be shown formulas for making our own inks, pastels and traditional techniques of drawing, with silver amongst other things... We’ve done some odd things with our drawing since then - but I am reminded, this is art school.
My direction has brought me into an environment where I have the space and surrounding expertise to truly make some cool shit - to the level of the greats I admire, perhaps even to surpass them.

Only the most high knows what lies in a man’s future. One can either float with the tide or paddle against it. I work for what I want, but I’m still learning to go with life’s current. As of late my focus has become more ‘moment to moment’ with a few goals on the check list... life carries us forward regardless, I’ll give my all and won’t stress.
The passport picture was a taken earlier this year, with me still rocking the cainrows I grew from months spent on the mens ward. A lot has been achieved in this summer. Teaching at The Mark Life Drawing Society, hosting the Black Current Jam and working through briefs with the creatives at Okay Cool. Let the winter come, I’m ready.
