Caesar smiled up at Arcade, grasping his hand to his chest. He didn’t recall his hands shaking that much before. It took five swallows before he could finally speak.

"It’s okay…" he said softly. "It doesn’t hurt…" He let his gaze drop slightly. It was finally happening. And there was so much he wanted to say.

He wanted to say he was sorry. He wanted to tell Arcade that he wanted him to leave the Legion as soon as possible. That he wished him well, that he prayed for his safety. That he loved him with every fiber of his soul.

He wanted to ask him if he hated the tyrant for keeping him for so long. If Arcade regretted the little breaths of love and lust they shared between them, when the Legion slept. If he was disgusted by the times that Caesar had worshiped his body with his hands, his lips, his tongue, his body…

So much to ask him. And not a lot of time. But he had to.
