What is BIM modeling and why is it important in construction?
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a process of creating a coordinated 3D digital model of a building that carries actual data — material specs, quantities, structural properties, MEP system details — rather than just a visual representation. It's different from regular 3D modeling in that every discipline (architectural, structural, MEP, civil) works from the same connected model, so when one element changes, that change is reflected across the whole project instead of requiring someone to manually update separate drawings.
(I work in the construction/drafting industry — happy to go into more detail on any part of this if useful. More on BIM modeling and coordination services here: https://cadproa.com/service/bim-modeling-services/)
