I have several personal headcanons to connect Season 2.0 and Season 2.5 but my favorite by far is of Yggdrasilʼs.
After a large, unending war between many nations, the young chieftain Sidefall would inevitably die alongside his step-father/brother in-law Spyder and the man who raise and took him and his sister in, Cadastro. Their corpses would be found by Cynikka later on.
Now, the thing with Cynikka is that she isn't exactly normal. Aside from being the illegitimate daughter of the tyrant emperor of Aculon, Cynikka held a deep connection and was a priestess of the Volcano Dante and seemed to have a connection with the land mass. When she found her family dead surrounded by enemy soldiers, she, predictably raged, and raged, and raged. Anger took over her and the plains found that the allegedly dormant volcano was suddenly on the verge of erupting.
So. It erupted. By the command of its human champion, Dante erupted with the fury of a thousand suns and re-shaped the once beautiful plains biome. What people did not know was that Dante held the corpse of several gods who were still conscious and intertwined their souls with Cynikka. The survivors were those of the plains who did not die in the war or were judged unworthy by Dante and through the ashes, Sidefall was reborn anew.
This would inevitably lead to the creation of Infernus through the survivors who witnessed the volcanos might and what would be known as Yggdrasil. Though, Cynikka faced many negative side effects from using so much divine power, she was simply happy to have her son back with her. Not knowing that the eruption had reshaped not only the Plains but many other continents as well. Also leading to Pandora's creation.
(This is also a very short and simple summary of a backstory for a fantasy, everyone lives but suffers AU I'm writing—)

hey so I just wanna let you know that YOU cooked here. You cooked. But genuinely this was really fun to read and I haven't heard anything this particular before. There’s something about it that scratches my brain in a good way.
