Hey guys.
I’m gonna give you guys some honesty and talk about the next couple of weeks. I don’t know how active I’ll be or whatever, but my life is about to change drastically.
My dad is going to need a CABG surgery. That’s an open heart surgery where they saw through his sternum. I love my dad. He’s my life, he’s my hero, he’s everything to me. We took him in the ER a couple of weeks ago for mild testing because he experienced mild chest pain. We didn’t think anything of it, because my dad is skinny, he functions right, on good days he works 10 hours a day with no problem. He’s never experienced chest pain in his life, and they tell him he has 3 blockages on his main arteries and he needs surgery.
It’s out of nowhere. A healthy man being told he needs open heart surgery. It’s quite a shock for me to take, it’s even more of a shock for my family. But we talked about it, we discussed it, and naturally, we decided he was going to do it. But I don’t know how to handle this.
I’m so attached to my dad. I can’t spend a couple of hours without him, much less see him weak with tubes and shit attached to him.
If any of my followers have had a family member who went through open heart surgery, please come talk to me. I need some reassurance, I have some questions, but more than that, I could use all the support I could get right now.
Talking to me about your experiences will help so much more than you know.
