So someone I’m in a writing group with just told everyone that their high schooler has gotten into homestuck.

@sugarchains and @cephalopodvictorious are enablers but

I was thinking that they’d be like the optimum friends to get sucked into another world with? Not like isekai exactly but like those fics you’d write when you were in middle school and had close friends you were always hanging out and playing with.

Jess is a lawyer! That would be so useful! (am I thinking about prequel era star wars? ofc but others too)

Sugar is an educator, so she knows how to deal with immature people who don’t believe facts, and she is a cosplayer with PHENOMENAL make-up skills and an eye for fashion.

I, meanwhile, am the feral little duckling imprinting on all the cultures we’d run into and treating possibly deadly things like a game and Knowing Too Much and leading us into all sorts of shenanigans. 

And then, to make it all That Much Weirder, I’d give Jess the power to speak words and stitch them together into items or traps (IDK feels both very lawyer and very Jewish) and Sugar the power to draw convincing, disguising glamors onto someone like the paintbrush in Barbie Rapunze only it’s fucking eyeliner.
